The Calkins Timeline
1640
Hugh Calkin(s) Arrives
An English Puritan arrives in the Colony of Massachusetts seeking religious freedom.
1650
Pequot Harbor Settlement
Moves with early settlers to Pequot Harbor in the Connecticut Colony.
1660
Norwich Founded
Helps establish the town of Norwich, Connecticut, where the family remains.
1993
CFA Founded
Twenty distant cousins gather in Eagle, Wisconsin to establish the Calkins Family Association.
2020s
History Center Acquired
The Association acquires the 'Deacon Hugh Calkins' house in Norwich.
2025
Capital Campaign
Launch of the campaign to build the Hugh Calkins History Center.
